Introducing the MarinePlan project at the QUB post-doc showcase

On the 21st September 2022, Queen's University Belfast hosted a post-doc showcase. The event demonstrated the excellent research being conducted across the university. MSSRG member, Ben McAteer, participated in the event and talked about our involvement in the Horizon Europe project MarinePlan. Our work on the project, which includes assessing the use and production of knowledge that informs Marine Protected Areas, will be led by Dr. Wesley Flannery. At the event, Ben explained the importance of finding equitable and sustainable solutions to how we manage the marine environment, and discussed how our work on the project will explore this topic across a range of European case sites.
