Yuting Hou

Yuting is a Ph.D. student at Xiamen University, China. His research interests include Transboundary Marine Spatial Planning, the formulation and evaluation of Marine Spatial Planning schemes, public participation and stakeholder engagement in marine governance, and also marine rare species conservation. Yuting decided to turn his research to integrating scientific data to marine governance after earning his Master’s Degree in marine chemistry. He has participated in several research projects at institutions like the Coastal and Ocean Management Institute, the Fujian Institute for Sustainable Oceans, the China Oceanic Development Foundation, and PEMSEA. He is currently working with Dr. Wesley Flannery and the topic is about the comparative study of Marine Spatial Planning between China and the UK.
